  Why must observers attend the Kingdom Halls for the Memorial?

  jesus had only 12 members attend and partake the last meal and memorial.there were no observers in the room.each disciple was given bread to eat and wine to drink.there is no mention of other people in the room who couldn't eat or drink the last meal.this was only for those who would partake of this meal.. why does the wts feel that observers need to be at this yearly event?

  why can't the elders who(supposedly) have any 144,000 in their congregations,have a memorial with only these members?

  if jesus wanted observers he would of had some at his last meal and requested that they be present from then on..

  I can't remember this but is there a special prayer over the bread and wine before the service?

  last memorial was back in 1992 I think

  anyway as far as what Auld soul said isn't that what Lent is all about?? I don't believe Jesus would ever deny any of us to part take.

  By the way do you think Jesus would ever DF anyone?

  ok guys, list the ones ya know.. the truth/truth = the truth according to jw's is their religion.

  for example someone baptized as a jw is baptized in the truth, whereas someone baptized elsewhere is not.. new light/light = a better understanding of the current status quo or 'light' in general which is just knowledge, new light allows for a complete change in beliefs without exception.. god's word = mainly the bible but anything else published by the wbt tract society is also acceptable.. true christians = refers only to jehovah's witnesses or suitable examples from the bible.. apostates = anyone who has been a jehovah's witness who opposes their beliefs (not necessarily people or individuals) and shares how they feel about the watchtower bible and tract society with anyone.

  a person who hasn't been a jehovah's witness but does clearly oppose their message and beliefs may also be referred to as an apostate.. experiences = stories that will upbuild and encourage jw's.

  When I was a kid and I use to hear my mom talking about going out in service to RV's, I use to think she was going to a mobile home park, where or a place where all the Campers were! ha ha ha

  just a small confession .. my last post was actually written a couple months ago before i'd gotten the nerve to post.

  i copied and pasted it ... and forgot to update it.. my wedding came off in december 2006, and my mom did attend.

  How does your husband respond to all of the Crazy JW stuff? Like does your mom talk about the end of the system, and armageddon? My wife trips out on how just in normal conversation my family will throw in "yeah and since we are so close to the end"... or "when jehovah destroys the earth" Like Jehovah is some time bomb robot or something, my wife gets a bit freaked out, just wondering how your husband deals with it?

  Door Sign keeps JW's away

  my door sign actually keeps jws away!!

  this past weekend while doing some house work i looked out of my front window because i saw shadows, i walked to the kitchen and looked out my side window, only to see two young brothers walking away.

  one was about 19 and the other looked to be 14, i kind of wish they had actually knocked, im always prepared for them.

  My door sign actually keeps JW’s away!! This past weekend while doing some house work I looked out of my front window because I saw shadows, I walked to the kitchen and looked out my side window, only to see two young brothers walking away. One was about 19 and the other looked to be 14, I kind of wish they had actually knocked, I’m always prepared for them. Anyway my sign is one you can get at almost any catholic church that says “This is a Catholic home, no other religions or literature needed”. And my sign has a picture of Saint Francis and a prayer on the bottom. I was really surprised that they actually read the sign and didn’t leave me a copy of the latest awake or watchterror, or even just knocked on my door to encourage me to read my bible.

  Honoring Last Wishes - JW Death

  i have a dear, long time friend who left the org along with her spouse and teens, about three years ago.

  last week, her father, who had always been a sort of jw, died.

  he left his final wishes in writing that he did not want a "memorial service" upon his death.. her brother, who is an elder, has convinced her that they will be having one anyway - of course at the kh.

  In my family there has been nothing but crazy bullshit at a time when there should only be mourning the death of a loved one. A sort of funny thing happend at my aunts funeral, my JW family did not let her NON-JW family say anything at the Kingdumb hall, her family was prepared for this and they stood up and protested the way they were being treated, and after the service "witness" they stood at the door way with a letter to all in attendance with the words of what they wanted to say about their sister, cousin, aunt. Anyway a lot of people JW and NON-JW were shocked by this and it ended up looking really bad for all the "brothers" at the kingdumb hall, so there was a reception planned afterwards and they had said "oh we would like anyone who knew or loved our dear sister to please come up and say a few words. can you say backtracking??? Crap like this makes me want to break out my book of bible stories and resume studying till I am brainwashed!

  At my dad's service I was told that I couldn't go up and say words about my dad, however I respected his wishes up to the point that after his death he was sitting in my sisters closet (ashes) anyway I thought this was not very respectful so I asked all my brothers, sisters and mom what were their plans to place my father, they treated his remains like an old pair of shoes, I thought this isn't right how sick are these people, I with no help of the rest of the family in a catholic cemetary, not out of spite but it was what I could afford at the time.
